  1. V. O. C. Pillai: He starts Swadeshi Steam Navigation Company.
  2. Satyendranath Sinha: 1st Indian to be made member of Governor General’s Executive Council.
  3. Manickotla Garden House: In Calcutta, this house was used by revolutionaries to make bombs.
  4. Bagha Jatin: He tried to organize revolt with the help of arms from Germany.
  5. Al-Hilal: by Abul Kalam Azad.
  6. Muslim League: established in 1906 by Agha Khan and Nawab Salimulla with the aim of promoting the interests of Muslims by promoting loyalty to the British government.
  7. 1913: Muslim League adopted self-government as its aim (as Congress had done earlier in 1906 Calcutta Session).
  8. Special Session of Congress in 1918 at Bombay under Syed Hasan Imam to protest against Montague Report.
  9. Rajendra Prasad and Anugraha Narayan Sinha joined Gandhiji during Champaran Struggle.
  10. On passage of Rowlatt Act, 6th April (1919) was observed as National Humiliation Day.
  11. 1920:  Special Session of INC at Calcutta.
  12. Regular session of INC at Nagpur.
  13. At the regular session, INC amended its constitution and added “attainment of Swaraj” under 1st article of its constitution. This session was Presided over by Vijayraghava Cheriyar.
  14. Gandhiji returned his “Kaiser-i-Hind” title in 1920.
  15. 1921: Ahmedabad session under Hakim Ajmal Khan.
  16. B. G. Horniman: Editor of the Bombay Chronicle was ordered by the government to leave India. Bombay Chronicle was started by Pheroz Shah Mehta.
  17. Alluri Sitaramaraju: He led revolt of peasants in Andhra Pradesh.
  18. Moplah Rebellion: It took place in Kerala during Non-Cooperation Movement.
  19. All India Kisan Sabha: It was established in 1936.
  20. Madras Labor Union: It was established in 1918. Its important leaders were – B. P. Wadia, Kalayana Sundaram, C. Chettiyar.
  21. M. N. Roy: started journal “Communist”
  22. Communist Party of India (CPI) was established in 1925.
  23. Hindustan Republican Association (HRA): It was established in 1925 by Sachin Sanyal and Jogesh Chandra Chatterjee.
  24. Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA): 1925, by Chandra Shekhar Azad.
  25. 1929: Bhagat Singh and B. K. Dutt threw bomb in Assembly.
  26. Indian Republican Army: 1920, by Surya Sen.
  27. Simon Commission: It was set up to enquire into working of Government of India Act, 1919, and to suggest further reforms. Both Muslim League and INC boycotted it.
  28. 1927 Session of INC: at Madras, Presided over by M. A. Ansari.
  29. 1928 Session of INC: at Calcutta, Presided over by Motilal Nehru. At this session, INC demanded dominion status (not complete independence) for India.
  30. 26 January 1930: Independence day observed all over the country for the first time.
  31. Dandi March: 12 March – 6 April, 1930. C. Rajagopalachari launched similar march in Tamil Nadu from Trichinopoly to Vedaranyam.
  32. Round Table Conference (RTC), 1930: It was held in London to consider reforms proposed by Simon Commission.
  33. 1931 Session: Karachi, Presided over by Vallabhbhai Patel. At this session INC decided to participate in 2nd RTC. INC also passed a resolution on Fundamental Rights and Economic Policy.
