INDIA – JAPAN CIVILIAN NUCLEAR DEAL
  • Two issues holding up the India- Japan Civilian nuclear Deal are data sharing and weapon  testing.
  • JPN wants IND to give nation specific data over nuclear material like uranium, plutonium and  nuclear parts – which accounts for every part of the nuclear chain.
  • Second issue  -  which is redline for India- if IND break  its self imposed moratorium on weapon  testing , JPN wants immediate cancellation as the civilian nuclear deal.
  • JPN & U.S. nuclear firms co-produce nuclear components 
  • NSG – US, JPN and Australia – who’s nuclear, deal with India – awaiting parliamentary clearance. 
  • The proposed 9900 MW Jaitapur Nuclear Power project (JNPP) which will be largest power  generating station in the world on completion 
  • Joint venture of French - state controlled nuclear eng firm AREVA and NPCI
  • Mines 4 minerals are on the union and state lists
  • India built by record foreign exchange reserve - $ 340 billion- insulates the economy from capital  right – US prepares to lift interstate. 
  • India chastened by capital flight in 2013’ taper tantrum’ 
  • NSE lunched ‘Quality 30 index ‘to capture the performance of stocks selected on quality  parameters.
  • Venkatraman Rama Krishnan, - President – Elect of the Royal society. 1st Indian to be elected was  s. Ramanujan (maths) followed by J.C. Bose, C.V. Raman and Meghnad.
  • Won Nobel prize in 2009- Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu – Likvd party.
  • Israel Parliament – Knesset.
